It's a spectrum emulator! Written 100% in perl! Woo! Yay! Houpla! Here is what it looks like:

To run it you will need perl, Gtk2 and the perl Gtk2 bindings. If you don't have the bindings you can visit the gtk2-perl homepage here

A quick early morning release. Now going faster than ever!

Version 0.2 is here - and it includes pretty much everything it needs to be 100% perfect. Well nearly. So what does that mean? The perl spectrum now has keyboard, faster screen display, and can load .z80 snapshot images of your favourite games, such as those produced by Philip Kendalls fuse emulator. Games can be found at the superlative "World of Spectrum".
Anyway, I'm being far to modest. Clutched in your hands here is the worlds first fully functional (almost!) Spectrum emulator completely written in Perl. I think this is good. I hope you do too.

I've finally gotten around to uploading version 0.1. This does pretty much nothing. It will boot a spectrum, but as I haven't implemented the keyboard or interrupts or tape loading, that's pretty much it. Still it is cool!
